Luckily, the Subaru is an ideal car for such conditions.
The temperatures have been far below freezing for the last couple of days. Thursday and Friday the highs were maxing out at about 10oF/-12oC.

School started, as well. Glaciology is a bit of a bear simply because of all the work involved. Paleoclimate will be picking up in the work-respect soon. They are both absolutely fascinating. There is also a lot of conceptual material overlap, which makes it even better. Same goes with my Carbon and Climate class. It's nice to be back to a routine.

Did you bring all that cold with you?
I introduced my kindergartners to your blog before Christmas when we were learning about hemispheres and the poles. They want you to come visit. If you're coming down for spring break, give us a holler.
it's funny. here i am, in sunny and exotic thailand, and i really envy you going to classes. i can't wait to start grad school...i miss learning, and classes, and the school atmosphere.
the snow, i don't envy so much, as a permanent state (: especially having to drive in it! but it's sweet that you're getting to sled. i think tom may have lived near that man-made ravine you mentioned in the other entry.
take care...
